Epoxy Garage Flooring

DURABILITY: flooring with an expoxy coat is much more durable than bare concrete. In most cases, it can take an absolute beating. They are much less likely to crack in comparison to bare concrete. In addition to providing impact resistance, it provides resistance to corrosive compounds as well. While salt can dramatically age bare concrete, it will have no to little effect on epoxy coated concrete.

Incredibly Stain Resistant

Is it possible to have a nearly stain proof concrete flooring? It is with our epoxy coating. We purosely left oil on the floor for several days, and you wouldn't be able to tell us where it had been left. It came right up! If it can do that with oil, just imagine how it will do with other things you might spill on it. You can finally have a floor that challenges even the most destructive child! The child of a client challenged their new epoxy flooring with permanent marker... and the epoxy flooring won! Our client literally washed the "permanent" marker off of his floor.

2-car Garage Epoxy Flooring Installation

Recently, we did a 2-car garage. The concrete had ben abused for years. It had been the victim of an old car's oil leaks as well as an irresponsible son changing the oil in the garage without protecting the concrete. Clearly, their concrete was a disaster from the abuse. Beyond the oil stains, the smell was overwhelming. We weren't positive that we were going to be able to get a good surface to be able to help them. They wanted us to move forward with the project anyway, and they were ultimately thrilled that they did.

After a very thorough and long power wash, and 2 concrete etches, we successfully resurfaced the concrete to be able to bond with the epoxy. Our client was so excited about how good the floor looked, they put on a fresh coat of paint on the walls! The results you see in the picture are after eight months or continual use and several oil spills. If this doesn't convince you that an epoxy flooring is a no brainer, we don't know what will!

The Biggest Reason to Get an Epoxy Coating in Utah

Most people think that their new concrete is going to last for decades. Many people feel that their concrete will last for decades. Theoretically, it's possible. In truth, that's very unlikely in Utah. The weather that we experience in Utah is sure to bring corrosion. Every time your concrete is exposed to snow, salt, or even just water, the faster it is going to age. You can repair cracks to a point, but too often the whole concrete slab needs to be replaced. With how expensive that is, it makes sense to take the steps now to give your concrete its best chance to withstand the abuse that is Utah weather.

With Sandy Utah Epoxy Flooring's services, your coating will last for years before it starts to wear off. When it does start to wear, you just have to add a new coat! The chemical structure creats a seal with the concrete which allows it to further resist cracking and the elements. This happens because the epoxy works on a cellular level. The hardener and resin are both unstable compounds that create an incredibly strong bond once they are combined with each other. In turn it also resists bonding to anything else. This is the reason that stains and corrosives don't set in. They literally bead on top of the epoxy allowing you to simply wife them up when you get a chance.
